Burlesque for Bachelors and Bachelorettes
Planning a bachelor or batchelorette party? Burlesque can be a great way to add some naughty class to a rowdy pre-nuptial celebration. You have a couple of options when incorporating burlesque into your festivities.
Ongoing Shows
Every weekend there are anywhere from 3 to 6 burlesque shows happening in Chicago. Thematically they cover cabaret, classic, neo-burlesque, goth, queer, opera, nerd, variety subjects and almost everything in between. You can look at our monthly burlesque calendar to determine the dates and times of upcoming shows. Be sure to consider the interests of your bachelor or batchelorette when choosing a show. Most shows will feature a host for the evening, 6-10 female performers who dance while stripping down to pasties and panties and a few variety acts. Many shows and theaters offer discounts for large groups and some even offer special packages for bachelor parties.
The Kiss Kiss Cabaret offers a discounted party package where revelers can enjoy the show and a drink for $15 per person. The Kiss Kiss Cabaret performs a burlesque variety show every Friday night at 11 PM at the Greenhouse Theater located at 2257 N Lincoln Ave in Chicago. Party packages are only available in advance. Burlesque for Hire
You can also hire a burlesque troupe or performer to enliven your party.
Local troupe Vaudezilla books burlesque and variety acts for many corporate and batchelorette events. Vaudezilla offers a wide range of services including a burlesque show in a box, individual burlesque dancers, hosts, photography, classes, studio rentals, belly dancers and much more. The Kiss Kiss Cabaret also offers a Bachelorette Bash. The Bachelorette Bash offers a unique experience for groups of four to ten ladies who want to learn a little more about the burlesque arts. Your guests will receive a crash course in burlesque from one of the world famous Kiss Kiss Coquettes. Tickets are $49 per person and the bride is free.
